Presented by BCLT, KLC, & PrivLAB

Join us for a fireside discussion with Professor Haksoo Ko and Professor Paul Schwartz that will cover topics such as the European Union’s awarding of the coveted “adequacy” status to Korea. This decision permits the free flow of personal information between the EU and the Republic of Korea.  You will also be able to learn more about Korea’s approach to AI and recent experiments in the self-regulation of online platforms overseen by the Privacy Commission.

Speaker:

Haksoo Ko is the Chairperson of the Korean Data Protection Commission and a law professor at Seoul National University, School of Law. Professor Ko was appointed as Chairperson by the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk-yeol.
