DESCRIPTION

Description:

In part 2 of our autonomous vehicle series, Allen & Overy discusses the connection between autonomous vehicles and data privacy, a fast-growing area of the law that governs information that is linked to specific individuals.  The instructors explore the data collection capabilities of cars and the differing consumer reactions to those capabilities, including the fear of government use of the data for fines and enforcement purposes.  Will these consumer feelings drive proactive policies, like those developing in Europe, or will they lead to reactionary policies once problems are exposed.  Our instructors explore these questions along with regulatory realities in differing U.S. states.

Speakers:
Catharina Glugla, Paul Keller & William Wray, Allen & Overy
